Angela woke up. She looked around the dreary room. Steven had
left. All the shape shifting spells he put on her were lifted, including
her own. Leaving her light blue skin, almost a violet color, and long navy
blue hair. Only her hair covered her. She went to the bed and used the
sheet as some protection. She laughed when she looked at herself. "He
mustn't of looked at me, if he did he would have put some kind of spell on
me!" She looked around. Steven was no where nearby.
"Titania! Mother!" she cried. She patiently waited until a woman
appeared. She looked some what like Angela, figure wise. She looked a
little older, not by much. and she was a light green with pink hair
flowing down her back.
"Yes my child?" she said, calmly, gently, in a mother like tone.
Angela explained everything to Titania, mother of the Magics.
Steven appeared in front of them. A little angry.
"You little witch. I told you to stay in the tower."
"I have never taken orders from you and I never will." Jessie
said. Puck was surprised. For a second he thought Angela was really
standing there from the response she gave.
"You will. Look, come back now and I won't kill them." he said as
he pointed to the others.
Jessie looked at Puck for advise. He shook his head.
"A bunch of mortals? You would lower yourself to that Steven?" a
voice called from behind them. Soon they were transported to Castle
Avalon.
As soon as they appeared Puck instantly bowed to the figure. The
woman smiled and walked over to him.
"Caring, sweet, Puck. Don't ever bow to me." she said. Puck stood
up.
"But my Lady-"
"Puck, don't." she smiled.
Puck smiled his half way grin and looked towards the others.
"Bow to her, this is Lady Angel, your people have worshiped her
for years, must you betray your religion now?" For she did look like an
angel, the veils behind her were similar to wings, easily mistaken. As
Puck looked back he noticed Jessie was normal and Steven stood in awe.
"Don't you dare." She gave a little laugh. "I traveled among the
humans, like the others. And I fell in love..." her voice trailed. She
regained it. "I fell in love and married. I had everything. Love, power.
The two best things on Earth and Avalon." she paused. " But he was mortal,
and like all mortals he died." she smirked, trying to keep her emotions at
bay. "Love never dies, it lingers, even over centuries." Benton nodded,
remembering Rachel. "I was a very powerful Magic. Almost as powerful as
Oberon and Titania. I was sad, angry... and I was powerful." She grinned.
"I was evil, I did many evil things. Yet was stopped. Most of my powers
were taken. I was a normal Magic. Powerful, by not as powerful. For
thousands of years I have never fully had my powers. I asked Queen Titania
and Lord Oberon to keep my new identity a secret. And they did..." she
trailed off. "I fell in love again. And I was loved. The stone around my
heart was shattered. But I had an obstacle. You Steven. You controlled me.
You had my flute." Color returned to her cheeks and her hair became brown
again.
"Angela?" Puck whispered.
"Ya, Puck, Angie." She smirked.
"Angela we thought-"
"I was trapped in a tower? I was. I was humiliated by Steven. When
he left to see 'me', I called for Titania. One of the only beings powerful
enough to free me. I had learned humility and compassion again. My service
filled I regained my powers. I am Lady Angel, well since I like Angela...
I think Lady Angela should suffice." she smiled.
Puck smirked. "You never even told me."
"That was the point." she looked at Steven. "I lived for
centuries, as what I considered, powerless. You will begin the same fate
as I. Learn humility and love and your powers shall be restored. You shall
be mortal. Except that you are immortal. Powerless, forever, until you
learn." and with that a yellow mist came off Steven and dissolved into the
air above him.
"No!" he yelled as his powers disappeared. And eventually he faded
away onto the mortal plane.
"Where is he?" Jessie asked.
"In his office. He must keep Lancaster inc. Without ideas coming
from thin air." she smirked.
"Seems fitting." Benton said.
"I must return you to your place. I have small gifts, as thanks,
waiting for you." She smiled and the all disappeared into the night,
except Hadji. She looked at him with her jade eyes.
"They wont remember anything. They will find the 'mysterious
gifts' but that will be it. Dr.Benton Quest, a picture album of his wife
he never knew he had. Jonny, and Jessie... not really a gift, I'll just
speed things up between them." she smiled. "The same with Race and
Estella. They lost something important and never really forgave themselves
for it. A second chance..."
Hadji looked at her. She snatched the turban off his head. "Have I
told you you look better without it?" She smiled as a tear ran down her
cheek. He wiped it away.
"Yes you have. What will happen to me?"
"You will forget everything. Forget me. The betrothal will be off.
A woman died about a year ago, you were betrothed to her. Tragic huh?" she
sat up and looked at the stars.
"I can make you full Magic. It won't be hard." She babbled. Tears
now streaming down her face.
"No. I want to remember this. Angela, I love you. I want to take
you up on your offer." he grinned.
"What offer?"
"I believe you offered marriage, I'm taking you up on that."
"Hadji, no. I want that more than anything, but-" she laughed,
"I'm over a thousand years old. Your sixteen."
Hadji closed his eyes. She could feel the strain from him. He
grew, maybe two inches. His face and body becoming more defined, loosing
the last bit of childhood from his features. He looked in his mid
twenties.
"Is this more to your liking?" he said, his voice too had lost any
trace of youth.
"You taped Avalon." she said. Her heart now one big jumble.
"Yes, I have observed Puck. Angela, I want to marry you. No one
has made me feel this way."
"Others will come."
"No... they wont."
She looked deep in his eyes, "How can you marry someone when you
are already married?" She took his hand.
"Maybe I will return, maybe you will find a spell to Avalon, but
we can't continue."
"Why not?"
"Because we can't. We are perfect for each other. But-"
Hadji kissed her before she could finish. The kiss of the Magic.
Eternal love. She parted from him, returning him back to Maine at his
normal age. Tears reappeared down her face, Magic cannot cry you see, not
true Magic. She walked down the beach as Titania appeared.
"You gave everyone something."
"Yes I did."
"And in return..."
"What?"
Titania smiled.
"Avalon strengthens emotions and clarifies them, sometimes doing
what must be done."
Angela looked away. Titania held her shoulder.
"All life comes from love." she said.
"No..."
"The kiss of the Magic..."
Angela smiled.
"Children are wonders for the soul."
Hadji looked at the ocean, she never erased the memories. He
smiled a grim smile and went inside, Race was on the phone, smiling. I'm
so happy for you Race, he thought. He went in the living room to find
Benton crying as he turned the pages to an old beat up album. As he passed
him by he saw Rachel and Benton smiling in some of the carnival shots from
a picture booth. The last one was of them kissing. Benton smiled. Hadji
went upstairs and caught a glimpse of Jonny and Jessie making out. About
time, he thought. He went to his room and sat down on his bed, looking out
the window. A sparkle caught his eye and he followed it to the Flute that
lay on the book shelf. It had a light pink ribbon around it. He smiled at
the Flute, yet somewhat confused about the ribbon....
The End!
