The Ultimate Vengeance Part 2 "Ok, I think I finally got the bugs worked out of this thing." replied Jonny. "Hadji, you and Miana want to give this thing a try?" "No, thank you, my friend. My last experience with your Garden of Eden was quite enough for me." answered Hadji. "I'll try it," replied Mica, coming into the room. "Dr. Quest told me I could find all of you here, and since I've heard so much about Questworld..." "Sure, come on in, Mica." said Jonny. Everyone looked at each other with suspicion in their eyes. Jonny was the only one who was not hesitant of her, and disagreed with everyone on what he perceived as them passing judgment on her too quickly. Mica sat down, and Jonny put the console on her temple. "This is an adult-oriented virtual reality game inside of Questworld. It had a lot of bugs at first, but I think it is safe now. When you log into the game, IRIS will give you the choice of how you want to appear in the garden, and if you have a partner, you can play with them, or the system will generate one for you. After you've made your choice, a bubble will take you into the garden, and you can proceed from there. I have made the game safer in that the pleasure feels just as real, but the player doesn't lose touch with the outside world. The game is also smarter in that it will terminate immediately if it thinks things are not right. The game will tell you different ways of quitting if you choose to do so. Ready to play?" "This sounds great! Wish I had a partner..." she said, flashing Hadji a seductive look, making Miana quirk an eyebrow. "That's not a prob, Mica-- the virtual partners in the game behave just like the real ones." "Good! Then program me one with dark skin and long, black hair." Jonny didn't catch on, but Miana and Jessie looked at each other, and as always, Hadji was totally oblivious. "Questworld logon: Subject: Mica Monesson. Going hot!" Mica was in the game for hours, and was thoroughly enjoying it. Mica knew that if she and Jonny were alone, she could coax quite a bit out of him. And, just as she hoped, everyone grew bored and left, having confidence in Jonny to keep a tight watch on things. Mica finally quit the game, and came out of it to see Jonny alone at the keyboard. "Jonny! That game was great! Can you show me a little more about Questworld?" "Well, I don't..." "Oh, come on, Jonny! I don't bite..." "Ok, sure! Come on over." Jonny gave Mica a full demonstration while Mica's photographic memory took note of everything she saw. Unknown to Jonny-- as he never paid attention, the directory of programs had a program description next to each, and during his demonstration, the screen popped up, although it was only up for an instant. An instant was all it took, though, as Mica saw the description for Rachel, and immediately knew that's what she needed. She also knew now that she had to lay low before making her next move. Time went on, and Mica became more and more involved with the Quest's family life, especially with Miana and Hadji. Mica was able to convince Hadji to teach her yoga, which didn't set well with Miana. "Miana! You have mastered that asana quite well!" complimented Hadji as he witnessed Miana standing on her head away from the wall without any help getting her legs in the air. "Hadji, I'm still having problems." replied Mica. Mica's head was on the ground, and Hadji grabbed her legs and gave her a boost in the air. Miana came down and had a bitter look on her face. Mica had been doing this for weeks now. She knew Mica was faking-- she was too physically fit to need Hadji's help constantly. Mica came down and stood back up. "Hadji, thank you so much for being so patient with me." replied Mica, pulling Hadji into a tight embrace. Hadji was dumfounded, but as always, kept a straight expression on his face. "Well, ladies, this is all for now." commented Hadji. "Thanks again, Hadji." smiled Mica as she kissed Hadji on the face, right next to his lips. Mica left the attic, and Hadji turned around to notice Miana standing there frowning, and with her arms folded. "Love, what is wrong?" "Oh, Hadji! Thanks for being so patient with me!" mocked Miana sarcastically. "And you let her paw you like some kind of animal!" Miana didn't even wait for a response before she stormed down the attic ladder, onto the second floor and right past Jessie. Miana went into her room and slammed the door. Jessie knocked on the door and stuck her head in. "Miana?" "OOOOOOOOO!" screamed Miana, muffled, into her pillow. "Mica." "HE LET HER PAW HIM LIKE SOME ANIMAL!!!" "Down girl! No need to scream-- I'm right here! Maybe Hadji hasn't caught on." replied Jessie. "As smart as Hadji is? I don't think even he is that naive." answered Miana. "Mica wants him." "Do you think he wants her?" asked Jessie. Miana regarded Jessie with a tear in her eye. "I don't know!" she cried, then she ran out of the room, right past Hadji as he was walking in. "Jessie, what is--" "If you can't put two and two together, then you are going to have real problems." answered Jessie curtly while starting to leave. "What do you mean?" asked Hadji innocently. "Mica. Think about it!" snapped Jessie as she stormed out of the room. Mica's advances toward Hadji got so overt over the following weeks that the whole family took notice to the point that Benton was considering asking her to leave. Hadji was still oblivious and couldn't understand why Miana moved back into her old room. Mica knew her time was growing short, so she had to act fast in order to get the program from Questworld, and complete her vendetta against Miana-- for all the years of unfounded jealousy Mica always had of her. *********************************************************************** After a long search on the internet, Miana was able to track down her other sister Moniri. She knew Moniri a bit better than Mica, as she did keep in touch with Moniri for a time as children. "Moniri, I don't know what I'm going to do! I'm so sorry it's been so long since we've talked... and even though I never knew you very well because we were just kids when we saw each other last, but we have always been close. I knew you better than Mica because I was a baby the last time she saw me, and with you, I have no where else to turn..." "Miana, don't worry! I have always been able to handle Mica, and you have been away from us for years. Of course I'll come, but don't let Mica know." Miana pulled Benton aside, filled him in, and asked him if Moniri could come. Benton was in full agreement about Moniri's visit, and the next day, Moniri appeared "unexpectedly" at the Quest compound. The doorbell rang, and Miana ran to the door. "Moniri! It's been so long!" exclaimed Miana as she pulled Moniri into a bear hug. Moniri was the spitting image of Mica, although she had a much more positive look to her. "Dr. Quest, this is my other sister, Moniri Monesson. Unlike Mica, Moniri kept in touch with me for a time. We have always been close." Mica leered at them, and Moniri approached her. "Hello, Mica. It has been a long time." "Not long enough." said Mica. "Moniri, this is my husband, Hadji Singh." replied Miana, trying her best to be pleasant. Moniri sensed the tension, and found out why immediately when she saw Mica approach Hadji. "Hadji, if you don't mind, I need some help with my workout." demanded Mica as she grabbed Hadji by the arm and he looked back with a shocked, helpless look on his face. Miana continued introductions, and they all sat down to a conversation about their immediate problem, namely Mica. *********************************************************************** That night, Mica snuck into the lighthouse. She broke into the system, and transmitted the Rachel program into Julia's computer network. She also deleted the logs showing her break-in, and covered her tracks as best as she could. She went back into her room, and then she heard movement above her in the attic. She smiled to herself as she put on her skimpiest nightie, with a sheer robe that was purely decorative and left nothing to the imagination. She climbed the ladder into the attic, and found Hadji meditating by candlelight, clad in nothing but his loincloth and turban. Hadji heard movement and turned around to see Mica before him. "I'm sorry," said Mica softly. "I didn't mean to disturb you." "That is ok." said Hadji nervously. Mica moved closer to him, and he started moving back. He finally caught on as she backed him against a wall and dropped her robe. "Mica..." "Hadji, don't resist me. We both know what we feel-- the attraction..." Mica had her hand on the knot of Hadji's loincloth when Miana stuck her head up into the attic. "Mica! You liar! Homewrecker!" screamed Miana. "Hadji! How could you!" Miana stormed back down the ladder. "Miana!" screamed Hadji, in tears. "Hadji..." coaxed Mica. "And all this time I was hoping I was wrong!" said Hadji calmly but angrily, as he pushed Mica aside. The whole family was awakened by the noise, and stood gaping in shock as Hadji ran after Miana and saw Mica descending from the attic in her scanty attire. "Mica, you have caused nothing but problems here." replied Benton. "I should've done this sooner. Mica, I am going to have to ask you to leave." "Very well, Dr. Quest. I'll be out by morning. Thanks for the hospitality." Mica sneered as she walked past Miana. "Miana, I'm so sorry..." replied Benton. "It's not your fault, Dr. Quest. Please excuse me." said Miana in a shaky voice as she went back into her room. Hadji was still standing in the hall, and no one said anything to him, except for Jonny. "Real smooth, Hadj. I never knew you to pull such a trick, or succumb to one either." "Jonny--" "'Night, Hadj." snapped Jonny as he slammed his door shut, leaving Hadji alone in the dark, with the only sounds to be heard were Miana's sobs heard behind her closed door. The next morning, Mica was gone, but Miana did not come downstairs. Jessie grew worried, and opened Miana's door, only to find Miana and Moniri curled up together asleep, where Moniri had consoled Miana all through the night. |
